is no exaggeration to say that the democratic life in Mexico has been deteriorating more than in recent weeks. The people of this city suffer a head of authoritarian government that does not support political pluralism, and a ruling party, the PRD, which seeks to crush the opposition in the most crude and unacceptable. The best example of this is the legislative committee agandalle conducted by the PRD deputies, following which we witness such amazing things as:
* The Housing Committee will be chaired by Arturo Lopez Candido, a famous squatters in Alvaro Obregon district. The Church in the hands of Luther.
* The Committee on Integrated Water Management, which addresses such a fundamental issue for the city of Mexico, will be chaired by Victor Varela, known PRD joint without the slightest technical instruction in the subject.
* The Economic Development Committee, responsible for promoting investment and creating new jobs, was given to PT, a party that still claims the Marxism-Leninism, the fight class, defined as "Maoist."
* The Monitoring Committee of the Treasury Accounting Office will be headed by Leonel Luna, a former officer in Alvaro Obregon, very close to Rene Bejarano, the famous "Lord of the leagues."
* The Local Civil Service Commission will be chaired by José Luis Muñoz Soria, a former delegate to Cuauhtemoc, the delegation more irregular establishments in the city.
* The Social Development Committee will be chaired by Alejandro López Villanueva, one of the leaders of the Frente Popular Francisco Villa.
The PAN, however, gave us pure commissions irrelevant, and we excluded those that serve genuine counterweight to the Government of the City, as the Budget and Public Accounts, Accounting and Monitoring of the Treasury, something truly shameful. In all democratic countries, legislative oversight committees in the hands of the opposition. But Mexico City, which the PRD qualify as "progressive" is at the bottom in terms of democracy and accountability.
